Ramadan 2027 Marketing: A Practical Planning Calendar

It is late January. Your Ramadan offer is approved, but the Arabic copy is still being revised, product availability has changed and nobody knows who will answer messages in the evening. The campaign is nearly ready to run; the business is not ready to receive the response.
Starting earlier gives you time to join those pieces together. This Ramadan 2027 marketing plan works backwards from the expected Ramadan dates and covers the decisions that affect the customer, from the offer to delivery and follow-up.
What to take from this guide
Use tentative dates for planning and confirm official announcements.
Start with the offer, production needs and people responsible.
Test audience timing rather than assuming every category behaves alike.
Match advertising hours and promises to your team’s capacity.
When is Ramadan 2027 expected to begin?
The UAE planning calendar from timeanddate currently lists Ramadan starting around 8 February 2027 and Eid al-Fitr around 10 March, both tentative. Final dates depend on official confirmation. Use these as working dates and keep bookings, schedules and customer promises flexible enough to adjust.
Put someone in charge of checking the confirmed dates for each market you serve. A regional campaign should not assume every country announces the same start or holiday schedule.
Why start planning in October?
For a campaign involving new production, multiple languages and several approvers, October gives you room to resolve dependencies before January. A small update to an established offer may need less time.
The calendar below is a suggested work plan. Replace the dates with your suppliers’ lead times and your organisation’s approval process.
Working deadline | Decision or task | Who needs to be involved |
By late October 2026 | Agree the audience, offer, budget and business objective | Marketing, sales and operations |
During November | Brief production; confirm stock, pricing and delivery capacity | Creative team, suppliers and operations |
Early December | Review initial work and test the main message | Marketing, local-language reviewers and approvers |
By early January 2027 | Complete core assets, translations and required approvals | Named final approver |
Mid-to-late January | Test pages, tracking, checkout and response coverage | Web, marketing and customer-facing teams |
Early February | Confirm schedules and readiness; adjust to official announcements | Campaign owner |
Before Eid and afterwards | Update delivery promises and continue agreed follow-up | Operations, sales and marketing |
If your team is involved in GITEX Global, reserve approval time around it. The organiser lists the summit on 7 December and the exhibition on 8–11 December 2026. The event is a relevant planning constraint for participating teams, not a reason every UAE company loses two weeks.
What Should Your Ramadan 2027 Marketing Offer Do?
Start with a need your business can meet during the period. That might be convenient collection, a clearly priced gift, a useful service or a dependable delivery commitment.
Write down what changes for the customer and what the team must do to honour it. A gift bundle needs stock and packaging. A late-night promotion needs a working checkout or a clear response expectation. A delivery deadline needs operational agreement.
For a B2B service, the useful next step may be a planning discussion rather than an immediate purchase. Check customers’ actual buying schedules before deciding that all decisions will pause until Eid.
How should the campaign change through the month?
Plan around the way your category is bought. Gifting, food, travel and business services will not necessarily follow the same sequence.
Stage | Useful question | Possible action |
Before Ramadan | What must people know or book early? | Explain the offer and preparation deadlines |
Early and middle weeks | What are customers asking, comparing or purchasing now? | Answer questions and adjust to observed demand |
Approaching Eid | What can still be supplied in time? | Show accurate availability and delivery cut-offs |
After Eid | What remains relevant? | Complete fulfilment and follow up on genuine outstanding interest |
These are prompts, not mandatory budget shares. If your product is needed at the start of Ramadan, holding most of the budget for Eid would make little sense. Use last season’s orders and enquiry history where you have them.
Should you move advertising to the evening?
Investigate it, especially if your own customers become more active after Iftar. Do not assume a single hourly pattern covers every audience or service.
Compare useful actions by time of day, rather than just views. Check which hours produce orders, suitable enquiries and conversations your team can handle. A late-night spike in browsing may call for a different response from a late-night spike in urgent requests.
Review times in the correct market and timezone. Prayer and meal times change with location and date, so a fixed “Iftar hour” across a regional campaign can be inappropriate.
If the team cannot respond at night, make the service expectation clear or use an action that can be completed without an immediate reply. Schedule the advertising around the experience you can actually provide.
What makes the creative respectful and useful?
Let the offer and the audience lead the idea. Seasonal symbols can support it, but they do not make an unrelated sales message meaningful.
Have someone familiar with the local audience review both the wording and the imagery. Arabic copy should be checked for natural meaning and tone, not merely for literal translation. Give that reviewer time to change the idea if needed.
Avoid presenting a donation, community activity or charitable partnership as part of the campaign unless it is real and the relevant arrangements are in place. State what the business is actually doing.
Food, humour and promotional urgency need judgement about context and placement. Do not turn one team’s creative preference into an alleged universal legal rule. Obtain the appropriate review for the actual category and market.

How should you divide the budget?
Allocate money to the stages that matter for your offer, with room to respond to evidence. Do not assume that every early test is cheap, every Eid placement pays back or every post-Eid auction will be a bargain.
A possible starting model for a gifting business is 20% before Ramadan, 35% during the early and middle weeks, 30% approaching Eid and 15% held for adjustments or follow-up. This is an illustrative allocation, not a performance benchmark.
Agree who can move money and what evidence would support the decision. Keep production, media, creator fees and fulfilment costs visible rather than calling only the ad-platform spend “the budget.”
Testing before the season can check messages and technical readiness. It does not guarantee identical response during Ramadan, when the offer, demand and competitive conditions may differ.
What belongs on the one-page plan?
Keep the decisions easy to find, with detailed assets and schedules linked separately. A short plan should help people act without pretending the whole campaign has no complexity.
Objective: the business result and how it will be counted.
Audience and offer: who it is for, what is promised and important conditions.
Dates: production, approvals, launch, cut-offs and official-date checks.
Budget: spending limits and who can approve changes.
Content: main messages, languages and review responsibilities.
Operations: stock, delivery, staffing and response hours.
Measurement: useful actions, reporting gaps and review dates.
Contingency: what changes if stock, timing or capacity changes.
Before launch, rehearse the customer’s route once with the people who run it. Place a test order or send a marked enquiry, check the confirmation and follow it through. A campaign calendar is only useful when the business behind it can keep the promise.
Frequently asked questions
When should Ramadan campaign planning start?
Start far enough ahead for your actual production and approval needs. October is a useful starting point for a substantial February campaign; simpler work may need less time.
Should every brand keep a post-Eid budget?
Keep a reserve when there is a useful offer or follow-up opportunity. Do not reserve spend solely because you expect all advertising to become cheaper.
Should B2B campaigns stop during Ramadan?
Decide from customer needs, buying schedules and response capacity. Useful conversations can continue even when some decisions take longer.
